Kajun: when we went to look at our boat before buying, the guy took us to Willoughby Spit for our sea trail. The same ramp you went to. Coming back in I let my 10 year old daughter drive, real slow towards the ramp. I asked the guy if there were shallow spots, NO YOUR OK. About 100 yards from the ramp, 2 feet of water and we were tilting and waiting for waves to raise us.
Although the sterring cables didn't break I know what you were feeling. We bought the boat and I have had it a ground several time since. I guess it was a sign of what I should expect. ;D
