What are they doing to your engine?

What could possibly go wrong with a new unit to require
pulling it apart like that?

Had to be a factory defect and if so, hopefully they correct it.

No E-tec and now no Lumber Slinger ???

Whats up with that?

Whats the deal with the motor Lumber. Sorry to see it torn apart like that. :'(

For those that missed it - a "software" update was not applied to Slingers motor (I suppose by the dealer) and this caused one of the cylinders to run real lean and basically fried it....

Nothing like computers :-X

Hey Lumber, I see you fixed your clearance problme with the rodholders... ;D Little extreme mod there, don't ya think?

For all you guys that forgot, or missed it, Lumber had a thread up last week stating there was a problem and that a new powerhead was on the way from Bomb. Something about a missing software update and being overpropped as I recall. Bet he's out on the water this weekend ;)

Well boys the boats going in for a sea trial tomorrow to see what prop were going to run ;D ;D ;D

I have to tell ya BRP has replaced the COMPLETE top end of this motor from what you see in the picture from there up is brand new , ( I wasnt expecting that) but the dealer said they are going to send the other head back to brp and they will take it apart and see what cause the problem in detail and see how they can improve on it.
