I'd take the V-20. I had a Mako 17 and underway it was as wet topside as the bottom. Wetter may be better sometimes....but, not on a cold day fishing.

They're not too bad a ride for a shallow V. Can be pretty wet at times. That particular boat is from the '80s would be my guess based on the raised coaming above the rubrail. The one I had was a late '70s. Same identical hull though. Most were prone to spongy decks. another aspect I didn't like was a very low transom cutout for the motor mount. Mine was probably not much more than 8" above the water line. At drift or anchor, waves tend to wash over. Following seas raised some eyebrows too, but not especially bad. I'd take the V20 in a heartbeat over that particular model Aquasport.

That's what I call a true hardcore V20 man :o ;D ;D That aquasport is kinda of small looking for a 19.6 boat I had a Searay 196 that looked so much bigger than that one. I sure would like to see a V20 and that model aquasport side by side. Based on pictures, the V20 looks so much bigger as well... Am I biased here? :-/
