So Close!! Today is one of the days that make a season. Started off slow, 1 blue fish, but there was not turning back from there. About 1 hour from dead low, every thing turned on! Long, good story short, we ended up throwing back fish that would be trophies @ any other time. 30lbr were going back over the side.
Big fish of the day, 48.5 on a certified scale, so close!!
FYI these are not deformed fish from the PowerPlant, they were just in coolers for a wile and got a litle deformed ;D

My buddy, nick named, worse mate, with his trophy 48.5 lbr

our limit of 4, 48.5 to 27lbs

Worse Mate with the 48 and a nice 30+

Me with a solid 30 and a 27

All of our fish were also on fresh pogie chunks.....

Reel, We did have some decent swell today but it was a litle bit of every thing that turned them on ;D The spot we got them we have been fishing/scouting for a few weekes now. The hump is only the size of small VW bug, a hump that goes from 28 to 44ft, you are either on it-or way off( we set anchor 3 times before we got it right) *Every one thinks they are just showing up now since the water is warming and the pogies are leaving the bay, but we have been getting them for a wile (not as concistent as today 8)), and they are there feeding on lobsters ;D. They should be there for at least another week, then the water wil warm and the blue fish will move in. I have a new spot I cant wait to try, hump that goes from 60/70 feet to 40ft ;D ;D

The place were my buddy got his we fish all the time with live scup, but when the tide goes slack, we switch to pogies chunks.

This is also a small area, but we drift over it, never anchor. Lots of big fish arouind here right now. I am going to try to bang a few in the morning before I head for Fluke.

Commercial season starts here Thursday so I will be going out like 2 or 3 am to get some bass before heading for the fluke.
