Your boat is perfect for a 130-135 hp V4 Yamaha or similar engine. I've talked to guys that were very happy with them on the 18' Wellcraft. Remember in about 1985 the boating industry started to rate engines at the prop rather than the powerhead. If you install an older V6 (150 hp) that's a powerhead rating. If you install a little newer V4 it'll be rated at the prop. With the V4 you'll have less weight without sacrificing much performance. Just my $.02
