Cool pics. I like seeing that stuff. Looks like you're doing it right and will be a nice boat when you're done. 8)

KEN - Just checked out your newest pics in the gallery and I just have to tell you that they are outstanding!!!

Your gallery is a tremendous addition to the site.

It was good to see the notorious 4" by 4" plywood squares that we have been talkin about.

Documenting your rebuild will be a huge help to those considering following in your footsteps.

Keep up the good work! :)

Ken , That 's great !What size tank is going below deck ? Do you plan on painting the boat ? That is a true classic . All you need now is a pair of twin 50's on the stern .

Ken,

What kind of plywood are you using?

Will you be able to add enuff flotation to float the boat, or will you be decreasing the over-all flotation in making room for the gas tank?

Can you raise the floor, like my v21, to add more flotation and provide better cockpit drainage? If possible, now would be the time to do it.

labii, seakindly,
i'm putting in a 26gal. belly tank, i'm mainly useing the boat on fresh water lakes.if i plan on useing out on lake michigan i have a portable 12gal. tank i would take with.
i don't know about painting it yet, all depends how it turns out after i acid wash and wet sand.
i would like to put a 250 merc on it, but i would have to mortgage the house, and that ain't going to happen ;D
i'm useing 3/4" constrution plywood for the stringers. 1/2" for the transom, 1/2" one side sanded for the floor.all will be totally soak with resin......
i will be putting down a piece of either 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" pvc pipe from the fuel tank forward and pouring in foam the full length of the stringers which will be about 14 to16ft. i may allso pour the foam under the bow pan under the bow platform, that sould keep the boat floating. i hope i don't need to find out. :) :) :)
this is really a learning experience.......... ??? hope the pictures help.............ken
