Default Re: Internal tank

Alright, I removed the tank cover and everything is covered in 30 year old foam and it did not look like there was anything to remove to easily get to the internal part of the tank, and that thing was not comming out with out a fight. So, Plan B, tried syphoning the gas out threw the line :P Oh boy after a mouth full of gas we quckly went to what 90% of you said, run it out. I switch the line from the external, to the internal and ran the engine for about 5 min, then shut her down for a few min. and reran her for another 5 min. The engine seemed to shake alott more then normal, but I guess that is tobe excpected.
Thursday i am going to run the internal dank dry ( is that OK for the engine??) then switch to the external to get back in.
Then put I new filter in, and go from there.
Thanks for the ideas/help.
