Here's a longshaft 9.9hp just like mine...

Here's another longshaft 15hp, newer, with electric start and separate set of controls *8)

I just love spending other people's money *;D ;)

Blue_Runner thanks for the links. They are a little to far for me to travel, I am in RI, but it is good to see that they are in somewhat reasonalbe price.
Just another thing to add to the, "I need this" list

Hey Sean: Why do you want to troll so slow? do you want to catch healthy fish or handicaped fish? If you fish in salt water 1200 rpm is good.

Lead core/wire line is exactly what we are doing. Trolling Bunker Spoons and T & W along the bottom. I am going to try the "Bucket system" tomorrow and then invest in a trolling plate in the next few weeks.

This is probably a dumb question but do you drill holes in the buckets? ::)

Thanks again, I'll let you know how it turns out

Yep, different tactics for different fish. We troll around 5 knots for billfish, around 7 knots for tuna, and barely 2.5 knots for rock aka striped bass. Spanish like it even faster, and hoo's, heck they get caught at 15 knots plus.
