If at all possible take the boat and bracxket there at the same time, Have him build and install the bracket for you.
Make sure you tell him that there will be a 550 pounds of motor and bracket hanging there!! If its a good shop they will no what and how to do it!! Then when you get it back all you have to do is hang the motor.
