Default New Trailer

:-XWell I bought a new trailer for my '89 Cuddy. I bought a Tidewater, which was apparently started by the guy who started LoadRite. I saw it yesterday but I pick it up on Monday.

It's a 4 bunk model (I don't like rollers) rated for 4700#. It's got tandem axles, torsion axles and Kodiak brakes on all 4 wheels. The price was $3,000. That's much less than the prices I was getting on LoadRites or EZ Loader and this trailer seems to be of comparable or better quality.

What do you guys think? ;D ???

I've got a bunk trailer and love it. The ramp we used last weekend was so steep with a roller trailer the boat would have rolled right off. Yes I know of the safety chain but they are a pain. Billy Mac ;D

I got her home yesterday. Haven't got my boat put on yet so I don't really know the performance yet. The trailer looks really well built though. For instance, each bunk support is held on with two oversized U-bolts whereas most I've seen have only one. Anyway, I think I done good. We'll see.

My trailer has some type of rubber or PVC instead of carpet on the bunks. *It works super great!

I'm gonna see how it goes on and off with the carpet on the bunks. If it's tough I'll add some of those PVC bunk liners. I'll be gettin 'r done tomorrow. Depending on the weather I might even get out and get some fishing done this weekend.
