I am so tired of towin the Hooker and tractors at the hunting property with an underpowered vehicle! *:P

The body has a little damage which I why Im getting a sweet deal on it, but other than that it seems to be a sound, tuff little ride. Whatch-yall think bout Dodges?

Welcome to the club. What size V-8? I got a 5.9L 360 cid in my Durango and it gets 11 mpg towing the V-20.

Its got the 4.7 in it. I would rather have the 5.2 or of course the fire breathin 5.9, but this one makes 235hp and 295ft lbs of torque. Thats a far cry from the whopping 175 hp and 170ft lbs my 4.3 in the Jimmy is makin. *::)

I just got it from the guy. I am goin to drive it to work tomorrow and tow the boat with it. I gonna pull the boat all over and make SURE its a solid ride. *8)

I like the feel of it so far and I REALLY like the power! Its a small V8, but a V8 for sure!!! It has a big truck feel to it for sure!! I like the quad cab too! Thatll be nice for the kids and for fishin buddies. Keep all my gear dry and comfy during hunting season too.

make sure the transmission is good Dodge had real issues with them on their gas models. I had a '99 Dodge *4x4 Quad cab but it was a Diesel. Great Truck just a noisy ride.

Got a '98 Durango. 5.2 V8. I like it alot. That should tow your boat with no problem. May yours be as trouble free as mine has been.

Hope ya have good luck with it Stink. My last truck was a full size Dodge Ram with the 5.9L.
Not trying to burst your bubble, but I'll never own another Dodge. :P Although I owned it for 10 years, they certainly weren't trouble free. Transmission constantly slipped and had it adjusted several times. Brakes? Where do I begin? Inferior at best. You will probably have similar issues that we've experienced with our Jeep Grand Cherokee since I believe many of the components are the same. Rotors warp in a hearbeat. When they do, don't waste your time with factory replacements. Get aftermarkets that are drilled and slotted to dissipate the heat. They're about 3X's the cost but will last a lot longer. Trust me.
I won't get into the crap fuel economy since you're happy with owning a V8 other than to say that Chrysler vehicles are among the worst in comparably equipped models from the competitors.
I will say that I like the styling. I certainly hope it goes well for you and wish you good luck.
Enjoy.

I guess it depends on what day your truck was built. I'have owned mine since 12/01 and the only thing I habe to fix was, the left front wheel bearing, output speed sensor and a tune-up. I never had a issue with the brakes, I towed the V-20 with no trailer brakes up till 3 weeks ago, the truck stopped fine. I don't know about the full sized truck but I get 15.5 around town and 18 highway with mine.....
