Willy, I've been usin a transom saver for a while now...seein' the weight of the motor come down on that thing, I KNOW it's takin' the weight and bouncin' off my 32 year old transom...and YES... it DOES transfer some of the motor's weight to the trailer ;) ...you are not confused at all!! ;D ;D...
