That truck is pleanty!! I have a 1500 Chevey and it tows like nothing there.
The boat is about 2500 + 400 motor 1000 trailer, 65 gal gas 500 = 4400 # plus gear. so 10% 440 tounge weight. That truck is all you need, if the springs are weak you may need to add a leaf or something??
