New SUV Gets Dragged Into Indian River By Boat

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. -- A boat owner is drying out his SUV after it rolled into the Indian River. The Orlando man said he was trying to get his boat out of the river at Kelly Park on Merritt Island on Thursday when he lost control.

A tow truck had to pull the water-logged SUV out. The boat's owner couldn't believe his bad luck.

"I had the boat one month. It's a brand new boat, brand new truck. Oh my God. It's a bad day today, bad day," Marcelo Goncalves said.

To make matters worse, the man told deputies while he was boating, he got a ticket for speeding in a manatee zone.
