It's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out. Politicians won't touch this issue b/c it's political suicide . . .

If you send every illegal packing . . . you won't be complaining about gas prices anymore . . . your gonna cry when the cost of one head of lettuce, one tomatoes, etc. reaches $10.

Condi Rice is the only one I can think of that really see's the whole picture of what's going on. The Lady has smarts, good character, is tough as nails and Loves this Country with all her heart. I hope she decides to run in '08 :)
On the Dem side... Maybe Zell Miller.

BS, I've yet to see any politician say that their plan was to "send every illegal packing." I don't believe it's possible, even if they wanted to do it.

As far as the cost of produce, I've read more conservative estimates of a 15% - 30% increase in the retail cost if illegals weren't available to harvest it. Frankly I'd be willing to pay that much more if Americans were earning the $.

One of the meat packing plants that shut down Monday (so it's employees could join the boycott) used to pay American citizens up to $19/hr 10 years ago. Now they pay their "undocumented" brothers $9. That's just not right.

As I see it, if you and I don't pay it one place, we pay it in another. Maybe lettuce and maters are cheaper, but taxes and insurance are higher because of the burden of caring for illegal aliens.

Now shut my mouth and pass me the greens! :-X

;D

Personally I am fed up to the gills with the politically correct BS that all the politicians and religious do gooders are dishing out for our consumption like we are all idiots . Its all nothing but pure crap in my opinion. Speak english, pay your taxes or get the hell out. I can easily live with out them and I can make my own burritos. I would rather be a well digger in kansas than the King of Mexico....We have become the land of handouts.. Remember the alamo.....Frank

Subject: THIS WAS IN A TAMPA NEWSPAPER

This is an editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa, FL Newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he? Read on, please!

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we
are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However...... the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to ! America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there
are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans...... we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language.
Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan.. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women.......on Christian principles.............
founded this nation..... and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it
on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as
your new home.........because
God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.
We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we
will allow you every opportunity to do so!
But once you are done complaining....... whining..... and griping....... about our flag....... our pledge...... our national motto........or our way of life...I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other Great American Freedom.......

THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

It is Time for America to Speak up
If you agree -- pass this along; if you don't agree -- delete it - You are in the WRONG Country!

AMEN

I figure if we all keep passing this to our friends (and enemies) it will also, sooner or later
get back to the complainers, lets all try,
please!

i read an article in NY YIMES that had a picture of the statue of liberty and asked "who should choose who gets to be an American?" well, these peeps dont wanna be americans. they dont pay taxes. they dont wanna live here. they just want all the bennefits of being americans. we are being invaded. its that simple! Bush says guest workers here to do jobs americans dont want. lets see? sweatback labor about 8 bucks an hour, tax free, thats worth another 3 bucks, free healthcare, about 4 bucks. 15 bucks an hour for a laborer! pay americans that way and see if they show up. i own a construction company here in south MS. you wont find any on my jobs. i only have four employees, but we would all bleed on the flag if thats what it takes to keep the stripes red! all bush wants to do is export our money. dumass! i got a big rebel flag in my front yard and thier will NOT be any mexicans or arabs livin on my street! right or wrong, this is how i live. thats why i dont have to lock my doors. and ne1 who is offended, or dont like it, can kiss my rebel dick!

Reading the NY Times, let me see, that is akin to reading the Pravda News, let me tell you they are in big trouble, their circulation is down and they are trying all kinds of deals to get it back up, they are so far left that most people around here that used to get it cancelled after their shenanigans during the last elections, plus their getting caught a few times fabricating sources. I've traveled around the world a little, lived in Europe for a year and a half in the Army and one thing I always respected was other peoples cultures, their language their way of doing things. We do not get that from the generations of immigrants that are coming here the past couple of decades and it has to stop now while we can.
