Fuel/Fule and Phule. My problem is little different. When fueling the boat it had to be done slowly or it would start to overfill and the punp would shut off. What would you suggest I start with?

Yea Windtalker what about the vent, Fillet had new fuel lines installed on mine. But if I tried filling up at more than an old man pissing rate it would over flow thru the vent. Not sure what causes that ??? any suggestions. Suggestions related to this post that is, I know better than leaving an open ended question on this site ;D

No matter how you spell it, if gas ain't flowin' it's probably either a line blockage or not enough "fall"...NEW vent lines can get clogged up just as fast as old ones, and the horrid FACT is sometimes new lines are installed improperly (I had to adjust mine after I put 'em in)...if there's a loop in the vent line and it's full of gas, it ain't gonna vent...if any part of the filler is pinched or goes horizontal it won't fall/flow...air's GOTTA come out the tank as fast as gas is goin' in and it WON'T do it out the filler-hose...
If a bear poops in the woods and there's nobody around, does it stink?... ::)...

Well I have not looked at your boat, But on the old Cuddys like mine they had the vents two low on the side, when you filled it came out the vent, when you drove the boat on the trailer and you stop or go with a full tank you were leaving gas on the road.
I installed new vents and put them higher up on the boat, problem solved!! Also bugs love to get in there season after season!! I blow mine out with compressor every sprind, and if you can I like to put Moth Balls in a cup on the gunnel right next to the vents, keeps the bugs away, It really works! As said above, you have to have a nice stright hose with no dips or loops or it will trap gas in there and thwen it can't vent the right way.

It seems my vent and fill are high enough I'm not worried about that, but what is puzzling me is how does fuel get pushed up a vent line that sits on top of the tank instead of air. I just going to have to dig in there and find out what was done.
And Oz, in regards to your question this is one of those that have always made me wonder why is that hard to answer. If you are on your V20 in the middle of the lake and no one can see you hear you or smell you Do you exist? Of course you do. Just because something is not percieved does not mean it does not exist, or make a sound or smell like a fart. If that wasn't true every husband that tunes out his wife would make her non-existent Hey wait a minute Oz you may be on to something ;)

When you trailer the boat with full tanks the gas is sloushing all over and spilling out the top of the tank, including the vet!!
Also gas expans in heat and that also helps a full tank push out the top. eaither way this is how gas will get in the hose and mess things up.

The vent line should be a non looped straight run right?

MJ's got 2 ways of gettin' fuel in the vent line...another way is toppin' up the fuel fill...it's also a line comin' of the top of the tank; fill it up and you've filled up your vent line...liquid will find it's own level...
Willy as far as to loop or not to loop a vent line, I've seen/heard it both ways...and I can see it workin' or NOT both ways...some say put an 'upward loop'...well even that has a bottom...mine is not looped and has had no probs as a result... ;)... MJ mentioned gas 'expansion'...and that's a fact...gas cold (ground temp) when 1st outta the pump...topped mine up B4 I learned better...looked at it later and had gas steady tricklin' outta both vents :o...
