Hi Hammer, I bought the one for $2k. I hope to pick her up on the 11th. I can't wait to see it up close.

BGA, the Suzuki will not mount on the OMC bracket....a word of caution, a guy that goes by the name SkoolsOut is going to have you pull the Sea drive, buy a full bracket and mount both of those 200 Suzi. Good luck w/ the boat, and have a safe transport!

Yeah, Skools will tell ya drop the drive, add bracket and two Suzi's...I'd do the same except ONE Suzi... ;)...
Good luck w/the tow...long way...if you're gonna be in that Liberty for a while, you might wanna consider rentin' a full-size pick-up to go get that boat...will save LOTS of over workin' the Jeep...and w/no trailer brakes, you'll need lotta stoppin power on the tow-truck...make sure all lights work, good bearings and tires good and inflated...take pics and post 'em here... ;) ;D...

I'd buy a spare hub assembly w/ bearings already greased to take on the trip, just in case. In fact, it may be worth your while to set it up where somebody down there could service the bearings before you leave. If you could get it done for $100 or so it may be the best money you could spend.

If that Sea Drive will run, run it till it dies. Guys here that have had them say they performed well for them for years. The problem with the Sea Drives is parts availability and the fact that a lot of mechanics won't work on them. So depending on your expertise you could repair it and run it for years. There are parts available but you will have to net surf to find them. The alternatives that some of us like is the installation of a bracket on the back after glassing in the sea drive hole and installing a outboard of your choosing, with a 150 considered by some as minimum, and unless your redneck from the Carolina area 200 generally considered max.
I would work on that sea drive and see what the compression is and go from there, it could just be a fouled up carb problem from poor maintenance or not being closed up right and sitting for too long, or possibly a ignition component gone bad. If the compression is good that motor could be tuned up and run for years good luck

Hey guys,
I took care of my short wheel base problem with the Jeep. I taded it in. :P I just bought a sweet new Dodge Durango and this time I bought the tow package, so should be much smoother of a haul with almost no strain for the Dodge. Gas costs will kill me, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do ;) By the way, Dodge has some pretty good incentives going on right now...
