cbuzz, I'm sure we can work something out. Where are you located so I can check on shipping charges and get back to you. Shouldn't be too much though ;) Or if you've got something for trade, let me know ;D

Live in Calif. 93422

The only thing I have to trade right now is a near new Quicksilver speedo. Was in one of my boats for about 6 months untill I changed it to a lower speed type for skiing. I think this one goes to 65-70 MPH. Black face with blue #

Oh . . . I might be able to float the boat right off trailer and float through the streets with the amount of rain they're predicting for tomorrow. Started the boat this afternoon with muffs. . . and it's ready to go for Sunday.

Cbuzz, If you're interested in the kicker bracket, let me know. You cover the shipping to zip 93422 ($14.68) and throw me $10.00 and consider it yours. Looks very similar to BigShrimpin's bracket. Let me know and I give you my addy.

BS I'm planning on putting a kicker bracket on my boat which has the live well as did yours. How much room was there between the live well and the transom. I'm thinking of cutting an access hole in the splash well to get access to the inside of the transom. After cutting this access hole would I be able to get my hand or a tool in there to hold the nut. Thanks Bill Mc

Mac,

i don't know if you decided on a bracket yet but I just picked up a nice stainless steel bracket from Boatersworld (online) holds up to 115 lbs, has a 11 inch movement and a composite mounting plate. i picked this one because it adapts to the negative transom easily...hope to mount it this weekend after making a couple backing plates.

Mac,
Cutting a hole in the splashwell and trying to install a bracket from this direction will be very painful. You have about 2 or 3 inches to work with . . . make sure you give yourself plenty of time.

Mac, why don't you cut a hole to the inside of the cockpit and mount hatch doors like in my v21?
That will give you good storage and access to that space. Why not try to mount kicker that way, instead of making a useless and undesireable hole in your splashwell? Even if it turns out that you can't get at it from the front, you will have a worthwhile modification. If need be, why not cut the backside out of the well with a dremel and then glass it back in after you mount your bracket?
