Default Re: Who's running a 200hp outboard?

chesapeake724:

I run a 235 hp on a 26" setback bracket and the boat handles it fine. I run a 14.25 inch, 19 pitch 4 bladed prop and get 43 mph (GPS verified) at 5100 rpm. BUT the old crossflow ponies burns 23-24 gallons an hour doing it! After reading the thread on 150 HP performance numbers I'm a little envious and would much rather have a 150 if repowering.

"Getting on plane quickly is nice, burning less gas while doing it - Priceless!"
