Default Re: Bow Light

All,

I just finished repariring my wiring and got my lights to work !!!! ;D
I can tell you that if you have the factory wiring in place that you are looking for two grey wires, one has blue piping the other white piping. Those are your anchor and bow lights.
You might want to check for continuity using a mulit-meter ( use a spare wire to span the distance of the deck to the lights contact ) that way you will know which, if any, wire is shorted.
I discovered today that after getting it all wired that my contacts were corroded and only needed a blasting of sandpaper ! Good luck let us know how you made out !
I also own the coolest tool that I got at HD for $10.00, an electrical snake. That lil sucker has saved me more heart ache and busted knuckles than I can tell you . Its a thin, wide strip of metal ( picture a measuring tape but thicker ) that bends around corners and is plenty strong enough to pull on. I used it to pull my new steering cable this year . You might need one to pull that new wire. Again , good luck !!
