Default Another Fluke for Stripminer

Fellas and gals, I haven't been hitting the fluke in any numbers but I have tagged some nice healthy fish. Here is my latest supper victim. he measured a bit over 20 inches. I forgot to weigh him but yielded 2 lbs of fillets !!

Hey Strip, I had a post asking for your help earlier. My suspicions were correct - I didn't hear back from you cause you were busy fishin! Oh well, it was about my new motor - brand new 2004 Yamaha 150 carbed! Wanted advice on breakin, but I already got it.

Now get back to fishin you old salt!

P.S. Now I'm goin fishin, so don't expect any response or advice from me until August :P

Later,
Blue

Strip, good job on the fluke. Me and and a buddie of mine fished Gardners Island, just south of Long Islands Orient Point. He got 9 fluke. Of the 9, 2 were keepers, one just legal the other about 21". I, the "flukemaster", got a 6,5.5,and 4.5, and a big porgie [scup] first time I ever got a porgie. We were out on his 16ft. aluminium/40 hp...thank god it was calm...needed 10 oz. to hold bottom,40/50/60 ft. of water.Great day,but I wish we were in my boat!
