Yeah I noticed he was MIA, also. Hope he s just super busy.
Not sure if that s a true Merc or a rebadged Yamaha, but I d just pull the carbs and clean them out. Should just be undo the choke and throttle linkage, then undo both carbs off the manifold and remove with the sync linkage still on them. Once you get them off, then break apart. Probably a couple hundred YouTube videos to help you. I would go with OEM parts if you need to replace any.
