As far as the fuel line, spare would be more up on that.
There is a Teflon paste that is fuel rated, normal plumbing paste is not. The stuff I use comes in a blue can and is bluish in color. Probably no difference,just cost a little more. Should be able to go to auto parts store and get a small tube of it.
