Default Is it just me?

I would like to know if it's just me.
What I. Talking about is that the last time I went out with my boat I almost broke down.my over heat alarm went off and she was running hot, at one point she didn't want to start,I think it was because she was very hot, I did fix the problem but haven't been out since. I'm always very cautious and afraid that me engine would act up again
I disconnected the oil injection ,so that is illiminated
I think I fixed the over heating problem ,new OEM thermostats and a new water pump
So why do I feel so unsure about going out with my boat again.
There should be no issues but I'm not comfortable it's like I have no faith in her. Do any of you feel the same way after you fix your engine? That she might fail again?
Just curious or is it just me.
P.S. I do have on the water towing, it called sign and glide thru my insurance company.

I suspect that we all feel that way to varying degrees. Trustfully, that's one of the main reasons I have a 9.9 kicker engine on my boat. I call it my "get home" engine.

I think I would feel more comfortable with a brand new 200hp 4 stroke engine, but that's just not going to happen anytime soon.

If you can t trust your motor, boating is not a lot of fun.

its a false sense of security, they all break down, all the time. 90% of the boats I'm on are broken, the owner just doesn't realize it yet. Just be prepared for it to break and you'll be OK

Phatdaddy, I trust my motor and my boat I just feel like what's next? I used to go to the mud bouy with no problem but today I won't forget it. Maybe I have to use it more. It's a good old 2 stroke. A very simple motor , I know people that bought a brand new Suzuki and broke down the first time out. I feel I'm just over protective. And don't like to chance anything. That's not good. She is a good host and motor. It's just me. .

D’s advice is good - I bought my 15 hp kicker as much for a get home motor as for trolling and so far it’s been 100% get home. I went with 15 bacause it will troll down as low as the 9.9 and has more juice to buck a head wind for getting home. I’m REALLY glad I have it on the boat.
