Default oh, i see.....

so i've been checking out some yamaha groups and forums. now i get it. these old 2 stroke saltwater series motors are absolutely bulletproof.
but...... they're extremely thirsty. it seems they drink like irishmen on st paddy's day. so the bottom paint and the smaller motor and wrong prop are only the half of it. my economy is gonna suck either way. so maybe the fuel consumption won't be that much better if i put the motor on a smaller hull. i'm still gonna hate to get rid of this thing. i went down to start it up the other day, after about a week of sitting. first turn of the key. BOOM!!! it's gonna kill me to see this thing go. i understand the 4 strokes aren't as reliable. oh well, i guess we'll have to wait and see.
