Not only Finland, but Sweden is also making noise to join NATO.
That will mean that Russia is surrounded on the western side by NATO Countries. Dangerous.

Yeah - as paranoid as he is about anyone nearby even favoring relationships with the west, it could trigger serious problems.

Much of the FREE World nations are working AGAINST Putin the dictator .
We will not placate him. Dangerous to allow Putin to attack, murder, rape and destroy Ukraine.

Putin the non-genius has made a huge mistake

Mark Esper made the comment that Biden made a mistake taking the military option off the table immediately, even before the invasion. I recall hearing him do that and thinking " good grief, what an idiot - he knows NOTHING about negotiating." That's a mistake Trump NEVER made and is unlikely to ever make.

Biden is following the Obama doctrine of leading from behind, WAY behind.

Putin attacked Ukraine - to take over or destroy it.

That seems pretty obvious. What does your reply have to do with my post?

It’s also pretty obvious, given that he’s only done it during Obama and Biden presidencies, that he wouldn’t (and didn’t) do it when Trump was president, in part because Trump would never have taken the military option off the table and Putin feared what Trump would do.

Question

When we first got the intel that he was going to invade Ukraine (about two months before Putin actually started building up his troops) I wonder what Putin would have done IF Biden had put several thousand American Troops in Ukraine? Would he have dared to attack American troops? Of course since Biden's been wrong on just about every foreign affairs matter in the last 40 years that never happened. Could this whole war and the tens of thousands of lives that have already been lost on both sides have been averted by something so simple? It's something to think about.

Seems like Biden’s doing a pretty good job of risking WW3 with his inept handling of the situation from the start.

Russia’s taking massive military losses, additional countries likely to join NATO , and Ukraine was not going to simply turn over their country to Russia.

Risk of WW3 caused by Putin, aging dictator .
Europe tried appeasement with Hitler - you know how that ended.
