Default Mj Update 8/18

Mj has not passed away. He is still holding on. Pain is being managed 3 times a day. Only able to eat baby food at the moment.

I talked to MJ on the phone today. He was able to call me and he wanted to say his goodbye's. It's extremely difficult to understand him and I could sense his frustration, but we did manage. He thanked me for being a friend to him. I told him "I love you brother and I hope when the time comes, you cross over peacefully".
Emotions running high, that was a tough conversation. I would love to see him, but I cannot make the drive due to the distance because I'm recovering from yet another spinal fusion surgery.
Amanda said he was angry today because his twin grandkids birthdays were today and there was a positive Covid alert in the nursing home where he's staying.
Keep him in your prayers fellas.

Oh, and Amanda, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of your family. You're a strong woman but we're praying for you.

Unhappy

I got a PM from Amanda yesterday. The contents are of course, private, but what she said here is mostly what she told me in private. MJ needs our prayers guys, but so does Amanda. What she's going through right now is not like anything I would wish on anyone. She's a strong woman, but that only goes so far. Please keep the entire family in your prayers.

I’m with the rest of the guys - praying for your whole family. Amanda, you are a sweetheart and a blessing to your Pop and all of your family. I hope the support is going and coming in all directions in the family. My warmest regards to you and the kids.

Sooo sad! I feel for the whole family for what you all have been through. It is hard for me to imagine really. Joe's health struggles have gone on for a long, long time. Before that his wife fought a similar battle. Sending prayers, love and support your way during this tough time.
