If you test positive, most tests won't tell you what strain of the virus you have, said Dr. David Winter, Director of Internal Medicine at Baylor Scott & White hospital in Dallas.

"We don't always know [the variant] when we do the regular tests," Winter said. "We do that in epidemiological studies ... The routine testing for COVID-19 will just tell you if you have the coronavirus. It doesn't tell you what strain you might have."

Health officials are able to identify COVID-19 strains through genetic sequencing, a process different from a standard COVID-19 test.

For example, earlier this month, Parkland's chief medical officer, Dr. Joe Chang, estimated that 30-40% of new COVID-19 cases in North Texas were of the delta variant. But that was an estimate because, as Chang explained, it would be impractical for Parkland to test every COVID-19 test for genetic sequencing to identify the specific variant.

WRONG AGAIN!!!...cdc cant even do simple math...and u believe these people??

One of the state’s leading epidemiologists said it appears the federal agency made a simple math error.

“It appears the CDC divided by two instead of three,” said Jason Salemi, an epidemiologist at the University of South Florida, who runs one of the most comprehensive and closely watched COVID-19 trackers in the state

Kheid —- how about the rest of the report you used ???
Well here - I’ll post if for you

….” But, Florida has consistently reported more new cases than any other state in the nation although Louisiana, which has tallied 810 cases per 100,000 residents, has topped the Sunshine State in terms of per capita infections.

Even though Florida is second to Louisiana in that category, the number of state residents stricken with the highly contagious respiratory disease continues to soar.”

So Kheid …” I was NOT wrong - youre just SNEAKY.

That might be 100% factual, but it was their choice. I'm sure they regretted it before they died. My point is it was THEIR choice, not some political hack someplace telling them what they can or cannot do. It's none of their business.
Should we ban all cars because tens of thousands die each year on the highways? And hundreds (thousands?) die from drownings each year so lets get rid of all backyard pools and ban people from the beaches and lakes. I hope you see my point.

When we were kids, school would not allow us in without our vaccines .

The vaccines were mandatory. This is no different.

The science behind the COVID vaccines is decades old.
Its not as new as some claim. Its just tuned to this virus .

Get the vaccines - don’t be selfish.
We can beat this thing…..except for the many with covid long haulers illnesses that have development from covid affecting CNS, heart, brain, kidneys, skin, and other illnesses . Very sad.
