When i communicated with the seller, she seemed legit to me.
That included, when I asked her if she thought the trailer was roadworthy enough to make a trip from FL to VA... assuming I replaced the tires and had the wheel bearings checked and repacked, she said she didn't know, and that the trailer was a little small for the boat, but she could look at it again and take some more photos.

Before that happened, my boss... the one I live with and said "I do" in a certain ceremony, informed me that I wasn't making a road trip to Florida, and I wasn't buying a second V20, no matter what I planned to do with it, and thus I bowed out.

I don't know Destroyer's experience, and I'm certainly not putting my endorsement on the line here, but I'm just saying that it didn't seem strange to me... at least not that far... although obviously I'd want to go further... talk to the person on the phone. See some more photos, get an address, and make plans to drive down there to get the boat and pay for it *when I pick it up*. Also, I have family in the area, so I would have asked them to go by and take a look and meet the seller BEFORE I drove to Florida to pick it up, so I had a plan.

With that said, do your own homework if you're interested, as with any sale, especially of used goods, Caveat emptor.

Of course, I should add that I still leave milk and cookies out for Santa too! :-)

Hello theHappyHalo,

It's been a while, but spring *is* coming.
Are you still around? Are you still looking at selling the boat.

I might be interested again...

Sincerely,

-Philip

Something is not right, a boat like that should have been sold in 5 minutes even with the blown engine something is not kosher in Florida. Destroyer did you ever get to buy that boat?

I tried to go see this boat, but the wife told me that she sold it to a friend. I saw it on FB MP.

Nope, never did. I kept getting put off. In fact, as I read posts here, no one has ever actually "seen" the boat. (Which is a well known tactic of scammers)

They post great pictures of a nice item, promise the world, but never seem to be able to produce the item. (And of course they want a deposit (usually in the form of a gift card or bank draft) in order to "hold" the item until you can come get it. As soon as you sent the money they disappear. It's good we are rid of this biatch.
