Recommendations on a good fish finder/gps chart

Usually new models come out around February and they discount the older models, check the West Marine, Bass pro shop and BOE websites

I went to a garmin 94sv last year and like it, have friends with Simrad go7 and they like it also. To me , garmin has always been easier to operate, but the bottom machines have been a little lacking. I primarily look for wrecks and structure, they do fine on that, but hunting fish on natural bottom is a little more challenging. I m sure i am to blame and the more time i use mine, the better results i get. My use is salt water in water 20- 120 ft.

I think I paid 600 for a 9 inch screen last year.
