Default King Mack Attack

Went out trolling today, managed to bring these guys home. Not the best table fare, but definitely fresh.

larger of the two, was 34 inches to the fork

we usually grill these or put in smoker and make fish dip, but since these were on the small side decided to fry. Lemon Pepper and Panko made them much more enjoyable

had my fish cleaning supervisor on the scene also

Nice fish and even better sitting on the table. You think he/she is supervising, I don't think so. It's just sitting there and thinking please turn your back. Well done.

Ha, thats a cat that showed up in the back yard one day couple of years ago, we didn t know if it was male or female, so we were going to call it either Ozzie or Harriet, depending.

Couldn t get close enough, so settled on Ozzie, well turns out it s a Harriet. I m not a cat person, but we have a mutual agreement where i give her fish every now and then and she brings me lizards, mice and squirrels every now and then.

She did not care for the mackeral, the only thing she would eat was the roe. Her favorite so far is trout or flounder.

Awesome Phat, nice looking plate! Surprised Kitty Puss did not care for the Mackerel. Cats are so picky ha!

I love fresh King Mackerel.

Sautéed in a hot pan with half butter, half olive oil and a little old bay sprinkled on each side.

Dang, RMB. Now i have to go out and catch another one, that does sound good.

I ve had enough little chunks whittled off of me in the last ten years, thats the reason for the hats, long sleeves, buffs and gloves. Been working outside for the last 50 years, paying the price now.
