Default '92 Wellcraft V20 T-top installation

I ordered a Dolphin Pro 3 ttop and doing a lot of restoration etc to the boat. I am wondering if I should put backing plates below the deck under the feet of the t top and/or run top plates on top. The deck has a little flex but not too bad. If below should I just cut some access points in the stringers to get plates under the deck? What is your experience or recommendations for doing so. I am going for overkill here? I am super excited about this boat as it is a lot of fun and looking for great memories fishing with my kids on the lake. Thanks in advance for any help.

I would get backing plates under the deck if possible, or at least thru bolt with large fender washers. Does the t-top attach anywhere on the console?

Default Yes it attaches.

It does have cross braces that will attach to the console as well.

If u mount it with plates to the floor and console just make sure the plates are different sizes. If you have a 2 in x 2 in top and bottom plate it makes a shear point, or a weak point at the edges. So if your top plate is 2x2 make the bottom 3x3 or big fender washers to spread out the load.
