Hi. Welcome to the site. Like others have said, most times the boat came without an engine to the dealer, and the dealer put on whatever size the customer wanted, up to the legal limit. The 150 HP engine seems to be the best all around choice for these boats, so putting an that engine from your Bayliner is right in the ballpark.
