12 years today since Kendall finished chemo. She's a graduating senior in high school this year.

Soooo cool Spare! Congrats to Kendall on her graduation! I've put 1 through college and the other one is in her last year. I'm looking forward to a nice raise after this spring!

I forgot to mention, Kendall had her back surgery last summer, she's got two rods attached to her spinal column, don't know if she'll be ready for a boat ride this spring, but otherwise she's doing good. She starts at Winthrop next fall, my oldest(Kaylee) starts her masters program this summer. She changed her major to child health, she will end up working with sick kids in the hospital(giving back).

i went back thru this thread, and I'll have to admit, it gets a little emotional remembering some of it. I was going thru all the great comments, and hate most of those members aren't around any more.

It’s good for Kaylee that she has a loving family. I’d think it would be pretty hard work dealing with sick kids all day. I was talking with a county detective a while back, just off patrol and into the detective business, mostly dealing with badly treated kids - very tough job, but with a chance to really make a difference.

Hard to see sick kids, but rewarding to be able to be helpful.

Please tell Kendall we’re praying for her again for speedy recovery and some boat time with her Pop.

Hit a milestone last week, We dropped Kendall of at Winthrop University in Rock Hill SC, to start her freshman year. Seemed just like yesterday that she was going thru all her illness. Been a long, hard ride for sure. She is joining her older sister that is in Graduate school at Winthrop. After getting Kendall settled in, the wife and I drove to Sneads Ferry and enjoyed a long weekend, mostly watching it rain. It softened the blow a bit that both my girls are off to college, got an empty nest now. Hopefully I'll have more time to fish now.
