Default Now we just need good weather.....

Here in NJ.....the fall season good till some time in December, weather depending....

Now we just need some stretches of decent weather.

Getting the bug for striped bass after an absolutely fantastic seabass run as we jigged them, and bait fished. The best was jigging with no bait, just right, and BAMM on the jig up and more often on the way down.

Nothing like those real cold mornings, often cloudy seems better fishing than the clear blues, but either way fine. Dressed according to my 20 degree rule - dress as if it's 20 degrees COLDER than the low and high for the day, and you should stay warm.

Ever go on party boats and see people " freezing cold" because they heard it would be 50.
Yes, but that means mostly 30's and 40's that maybe touches 50, not counting wind.

You can always remove layers, but once you're cold at sea.......it's not good.

left work at noon and raced 60 miles down the GSP to the boat to beat the afternoon wind.....the wind beat me....

Got to boat at 1:30 as dock neighbor was pulling in...

"The bite was at Spring Lake at 11am. Don't go out now...it got crazy windy out of the south"

hung out on the boat with my brother til dusk and caught a 24" striper on the dock....NOT SKUNKED!

went to work yesterday......they slayed stripers between Manasquan and Belmar.

Three straight days of fish I didn't get in on.

Hoping the Sunday forecast holds up.
