Default Finally, a scalloping report!!!!

Been 3 years since a good report, but St Joe Bay opened this Friday, Wife had to work, so we went second day. It was packed. When we first got there, had to do some scouting but were able to get on them eventually.

Florida limit is 2 gallons in shell per person per day, so we were able to get our 4 gallon limit in a couple of hours. ended up with a little over a quart of meat.

Nice George!! Haven't been on the forum in a few weeks and saw this. Those St Joe scallops this year were better than the ones we got in Steinhatchee earlier in the year.
We went to St Joe opening day and again on Labor Day and did well. Those little buggers are so much fun to get.

We have 2, 5, and 6 gallon buckets, depending on how many people are on the boat, determines which bucket we use. The limit is 2 gallons per person, 10 gallons maximum per vessel.
The 2 gallon bucket comes in handy during stone crab season, where the limit is 1 gallon per person, 2 gallons per vessel

It was a good year. We ended up going every weekend in September and managed to get our 4 gallon limit each time. Last weekend was canceled because of red tide. Put the little boat up and back to the V
