Thanks Bradford! Definitely going to be extra careful to not run too shallow and keep an eye on the transom.
Should be finishing up the windshield in the next day or so and do the kiwi grip next week. Trying to have it ready for opening day scallop season in Steinhatchee, FL

Default raised transom

i had the transom raised on an MFG I owned many years ago and they drilled verticle holes through the 5" extention and into the existing transom, then inserted steel rods, 1/2" diameter I think, and expoxyed in place, then glassed the extention in. Never had any problems.

Well guys, I'm happy to report we were able to finish getting the V ready for Steinhatchee, and had a very successful scallop trip! She performed great, and I'm really pleased w/ the 200 merc. Still have a few things to finish, mainly the cabin door and rod boxes, but everything else is good to go...

Looks like fun. Where do you guys stay down there? We went last year and stayed at Good Times Marina, but it rained all weekend.
