Frame, i believe is anodized aluminum. Not that familiar with awlgrip, but if it sticks, don't know why not. I've done my 13 whaler with it and was not happy with the results, but i think it was me, not the product. Help a friend roll & tip a sailboat, it came out nice.
Like most painting, 95% prep,5% paint. I've got to get down there and get a new pair of kinos
