Striper,
To me the boats feel much different.

The V 20 feels more nimble and can stay on plane at a slower speed.

The 22-23 footer honestly gives the feel of a better ride probably because of where you sit further back on the boat. I also feel the ride is a little drier.

The cockpit is huge on a V 20 compare to the 22-23 footer. However there isn't anywhere the usable space in the V 20 cuddy versus the 22-23 footer.

If I was running a rough section of water.. inlet, bar, hole, channel like a white knuckle ride I would prefer the V 20.

If I was running 30 miles home in sloppy conditions I might prefer the 22-23 footer due to the seating position and dryness. However a V 20 center console might run just as well but I have never been on a CC V 20.

Both are pretty good boats. We have run 20 miles home in the V 20 in 2-3 footer. We have had our 23 footer out in small craft but only about a 6 mile run.

Both boats run well in a following sea.

We swapped our V 20 on to the 23 footer trailer and didn't have to make a single adjustment. This tells me the running surface is close to the same.

Not sure I could choose one over the other.

this is the vinyl above the windshield, it's less than 29" in width.

these are the "wing windows" i can make you a pattern from the side curtains

these are about 20 years old, so i guess there not too bad. i generally put them up around christmas and take them down at easter.

Phat,
Looks good.
Are your side panel useable?
Or do you want them completely replaced?
If the side panels useable just send them along with the front panel and I will install new clear vinyl.

Wow, what a great offer. I really need this for mine. They are getting tired for sure. Think I'd opt for the thread upgrade also. Will PM.

i would do that, but the actual bimini is real thin and needs replacing also. it's about 24 years old and only been down for trips to the keys and hurricanes. the zippers are toast on the tops of the side panels and the sides of the top, so i've been zip tying it all together. i don't think i can get the frame apart to get the top off.

the guy who built mine is still in business and can;t believe this one is still standing. he;s been in through 2 buildings and 3 wives since he sewed this one.

Phat,
You can send me the front panel and a pattern for the sides panels and I will duplicate your pattern for you. Make sure you mark the width of the binding around the clear vinyl and where you want me to add zippers or fasteners etc.

Thanks Bradford.
Looking forward to getting started on these projects for the members of V 20.

Looks like I might be replacing the 3 forward panels for a 35 Viking soon. Should be an interesting project. Pretty sure that project will be done with Strata-glass.
