Default Carb cleaning

It has been a while guys, but I am finally trying to get the V up and running again. Skool rebuilt the carbs (1988 Evinrude 120 VRO looper, VRO disconnected) several years ago and it never has really been run since. I was able to get it fired and running but one needle valve is apparently sticking and leaking fuel, I opened it up and saw dried junk in the bowl. I have looked back through several threads and now know not to use carb or harsh cleaners due to the carbs being plastic. I saw in a thread referencing using electronic contact cleaner but which one?

Cool

As long as they say "Safe for plastics" either of them should be okay. But having said that, I would try a few test sprays on the *outside* of the carb in an area that doesn't have anything attached to it. (Just bare plastic). Give it a spray, let it sit till it's all evaporated, then run your fingernail across the plastic. Does it feel hard and smooth or does it feel a little soft? If hard you should be fine. If soft go NO further.
