Hey PD, You're killing me!! I used to have a 1990 V20 and one of my very favorite things was to troll for the Spanish out of Gulf Shores. Then clean'em and fry'em along with some garlic cheese grits and bread.

I have been lurking on the site, toying with the idea of getting another V20 and giving it another try.Best of luck to you.

Nice Phat, the best part of the vid is those clamp on rod holders on your bimini. I've spent the last 2 weeks thinking of how to get another rod or two out of the way and it looks like you thought of the solution.

thanks guys. april 2 is my sons bday, so we always plan a spanish trip for him.

grey, come on over and i'll take you out. i worked in gulf shores , foley , spanish fort area in the 80's & early 90's. bet i wouldn't recognize it today.

blue, they work ok for light rods, i'd like to mount one in the center also. when i take the curtains down, i rotate them out a little, their kinda in the way over the stern.

thanks skunk, jake did the editing, so it's much smoother than mine.

When trolling we usually use a Christmas tree rig, which has 4 straw droppers followed by a heavy spoon. When I fished off the piers we would use a straw rig with a clear bubble float. We made them from McDonald's straws, wire and treble hooks. I remember in the late 70's early 80's, McDonald's changed their straw colors and It was a big deal because the new color was not as good.
