Default joining the wellcraft V20 walking wounded

looks like i'm going to be laid up this spring and first of summer. back in november, my regular doc noticed a change in my "slight" heart murmur i've had for years. sent me to a local cardiologist for test & scans. sever leakage of the mitral valve. just got from emory in atlanta meeting with the valve guru, he thinks he can repair it , but if not, cow/pig replacement.

getting old sucks
wish we'd done this in nov, spanish are starting to run here.

surgery won't be until after april 10th, so i gotta jam 3 months of fishing into 3 weeks

Thanks spare. I'm sure you'll get your share of fish. Have fun with the move. It;s amazing at the people I've talked to with valve issues. Doc was saying that they have a replacement valve coming up that can be inserted through the artery. They are already doing trials, but it's 4-5 years out.

My father has had valve issues since he was 12, couldn't pass the Army physical or an FAA physical because of it. They have talked about different options over the years but never did anything about it. He's 84 now and doing pretty good.

thanks guys, was hoping he could go in the side, but looks like through the front. i also have to have some work done on the aorta while in there, so doc said better to do it all at once.

spare, i've talked to more than a few who have the same issues say the same ,especially older people. maybe they want to address it now, before i get any older. or maybe with obama care, i wouldn't be approved in a year or two.

i guess going to a surgeon to see if you need to be cut on is like asking a roofer if you need a new roof.

Well, I'm back, sorta. Surgery went well, was able to repair my existing valve and repair an aortic aneurysm they caught on ct that doc said would have had me back on the table in 2 years. Lot weaker that I thought I'd be, but ever day gets better.

Fishing is great in Florida and I'm looking at peachtree dr in Atlanta . That's what upsets me most.
