| Prince Rupert 1of 2

I got home from another trip out to Prince Rupert BC yesterday. Had another great trip with my dad in his 21' North River its a little rough in the welded aluminum and the weather helped it be a rough ride. We got a boat load of salmon only got 3 springs this year dad got the biggest around 25-30lbs. I lost a halibut over 100lbs at the boat it gave a big head shake and snapped my 300lb mono leader. We had to release it anyways it was over the slot limit but we did limit out on salmon halibut and crabs. I'll post some pics when my computer is up and running tomorrow it a pain in the a$$ to do it one phone. The killer whales came around one day in the fog and were hunting down the salmon a few houndred yards from us for a half hour pretty good show. Im taking my V21 to Rupert again in two and a half weeks with a buddy and my boy for round two lol. It will be kalums first trip to the coast and should change his view of fishing forever as it did to me.

I can't get my computer going so I have to upload one photo at a time from my phone sorry. PDaddy We troll for the salmon using down riggers at depths from 20-100 feet usually keep one side at least a 10-20 foot difference. We use Dodgers and a green/glow hoochie about a foot behind on one side and a anchovie bullet roll head with a anchovie or herring on the other for spring salmon. Mostly spoons and hoochie/dodger combo for coho salmon they'll eat any thing. I'll put a pic of them on here for you. And yes Bradford I'm stoked to take my boy and the smooth riding V out to my favourite fishing spot again it will be one for the ages.

Down rigger fishing for salmon big bend in the rod helps set the hook when you get a strike and keep the hook in due to barbless rules.

My favorite salmon lures for trolling with that being said dad caught 5 salmon when I had a down rigger issue and he let out 30-40 feet of line. The coho were attacking his lure twirling in the tide while we were drifting hahaha.
