Recently announcements in rulemaking.
Specifically, public comment for discussion of new limits on Barracuda.

I can't even make this stuff up folks..

It's just another measure of control over us by our government. Somewhere along the line they decided that THEY own the fish in the ocean and that they have complete say over what you can catch. (I wonder if God knows about this)?

Anyways, I wasn't aware that Barracuda were endangered.... wow!

I fully expect that any day now NJ will issue a reg limiting the amount and size of
Sunfish and Crappie that kids can catch.....

They've become rather popular in south Florida with the Cubans last I heard. Some consider the smaller ones a delicacy. Myself have no urge to chance the poisoning by eating one, but I know many do. Last time I went out on a headboat in the keys, an old Cuban on it was taking every barracuda he could that was under 3 feet.

They are the mosquitoes of the reef, you will never wear them out. Ever. What Bradford and Destroyer said. I'll leave the eating to you there Phat.

I'll say one thing, when a 500+ pound je(w)fish comes up, they scatter like cockroaches when the lights come on. I LIKE catching em as not many fish out there can scream a reel like a 50 pound cuda can, but I have NO desire WHAT SO EVER to try and eat one. I couldn't stand the smell of the ones the guy was putting in his cooler, I could only imagine what it would be like after a day or 2 on ice.
