Talking V18 Funny Ad

http://sarasota.craigslist.org/boa/4808006921.html

I am currently selling my 18ft center console wellcraft because I bought a new boat and my wife won't let me have two. She complains we don't spend enough "quality" time together which I veraciously deny as I calculate we spend at minimum 8 hours a day with one another and sure some may call this time "sleep" but I am highly optimistic and choose to call this "quality silent time" but nonetheless it was either my second boat had to go or my golf clubs and because golf is the one thing she cant stand they had to stay in order for me to get away on sunday without her wanting to tag along(she is a multitasker likes to tan and fish while topless, talented broad). below you will find more information about the boat including an elaborate pro cons list....

Like I said earlier the boat is a 18ft center console 1989 wellcraft hull with a 150 yamaha 2stroke engine from I believe 94. I did the kelly blue book value on this vessel and it came to around $4,000 but I would not pay that for this boat so I am not asking that.

Pros:
-It runs,
-Has a total of 12 vertical rod holders and 4 horizontal ones.
-Working livewell, not sure on the size but its tiny maybe around 5- 8 gallons,
-Ill throw in 4 lifejackets, all your coast guard gear and the anchor,
-Good quality T-top
-I'll throw in the mufflers for freshwater run down
-New gas lines put in about a year and a half ago (no ethanol gas has even touched these lines, for those of you know boats know how important this is)
-Carbs just rebuilt and worked on a year and a half ago (believe i still have receipts)
-Good clean title in hand
-Lower unit oil changed a month ago
-Custom cushion built for the bow riding area
-two 8 inch speakers in ttop with aux cord hookup (ill even throw in an aux cord)
-bottle opener screwed into ttop
-It sits on a trailer so no barnacles on the bottom
- 2 batteries with switch, one just purchased a year ago still under warranty

Cons:
Now I have worked on boats most of my life so understand this sale is as is and anyone who has owned a boat in the past knows they can be expensive but some of the cons I notice are as follows:

- My wife is making me sell it (big con)
- the ttop has one tiny tear in it; less than a half inch (wife tried casting)
- I would drain the gas tank as all this rain we have been getting I am sure there is some water in the tank but I crank it over at least once a week
- It is a 2stroke engine, these arent ideal so I figured it should be listed as a con.
- The hull is old, there are some spots on the bottom of the hull where you can see patchwork and one spot (nickle in size) that I would fix within a year, it does not leak whatsoever but just something I noticed and would fix.
- Did i mention my wife is making me sell it?
- I will obviously start it for you but I am not willing to give out a bunch of free boat rides and do sea trials with it.
- I am taking my electronics off it so no you dont get a fish finder or bottom reader or gps but good news you will have pre drilled holes where these devices can go.
-The deck is made of marine board and you can feel that it gives a little in certain areas but you can jump up and down on it, throw a cooler full of fish on it and not have to worry probably would be within your 3 year plan to fix but right now it is solid.
- Because the fiberglass is old the screws for random dry storage and compartments sometimes get loose if you are in rough water.
- it's winter so it has not gotten much use, carbs should be cleaned as part of regular maintenance
- and lastly my lovely wife is making me do this....

You might have realized that I also mentioned a trailer... and yes the trailer it is sitting on could be included with this price but that is contingent on if I like you or not, or if my wife is home and the sale is being held up because of the trailer. The trailer is in good shape, rust here and there but I towed this trailer and boat from Jacksonville in June and had it serviced before that trip the mechanic just serviced the bearings and said everything else looked solid so I am taking his word and relaying it to you (should have the receipt from that as well). It made the trip with no problems, the bad thing about the trailer is that it is about a foot too big for this boat I however prefer it because it has full size tires which are a lot more durable and last a lot longer, the current tires on it have less than 300 miles on them. Trailer also has a lock on it.

So feel free to text me at anytime, show contact info if my wife happens to respond she is a lovely women to converse with so feel free to talk to her as long as you want as this will take away time I have to listen to her talk about lord knows what. Take some of my manhood and make it your own this has been a great little boat for me and I hate to see it go but I cant say my wife's happiness is my happiness but I can for sure say her unhappiness is definitely my unhappiness so it has got to go.

And honey when you ask to see the craigslist post later tonight to make sure I followed through with your plan you should know better than to leave me unsupervised on the internet... granted 99% of the time it is a combination of porn and fantasy football but that remainder 1% is truly something special and why you love me so dearly :) and please no meatloaf for supper, I prefer spaghetti thank youuuu.
  • do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers

Either the ad worked and he sold it, or his wife saw the ad and left him so he can keep the boat... the ad is gone.
