As said, price is fine, season is wrong.
Unless you are in south Fla...then its always boat season.

Looks like I priced it right. A guy said he'll send me a check for the full amount, I just have to send him my name and address.
 Does anyone even fall for that crap?

Stipulate to him that if he sends you a check, it must first clear both banks before you will release the engine. Personally, I like to ask them why they cannot just come to my house, pay in cash and take the engine with them when they leave. Another way around it is to offer to send the item to them COD. Use UPS or FedEx and stipulate to the carrier that the payment must be made in cash. You have to decide, based on your conversations with him, how you want to handle it.

I was joking. The message I got was definitely a scam. I didn't bother responding. It was a text from an odd number that was worded funny. I won't give anyone my address without at least talking to them.
