Default Anyone one know of the " Mosely 21 " Seacraft ?

The Mosely 21 was an early Seacraft boat, that's like a V20 / 21 on steroids .

It was built to blast through the ocean at high speed for hours on end, without pounding or breaking apart.

It's got a " bull dog look" ..........very high proud bow, sits maybe over 5' off the water, very deep V forward and reportedly built like a tank.

Very rare boat, few left. Can see about it on the Seacraft web site.

Wellcraft should have built the V's in the same way, to offer even better total performance.

I don't see any resemblance to a V-20 myself. It is a 21 footer, 8' beam(only 7' at the transom), with a variable deadrise hull and no bow flare to speak of. It was the pre cursor to the infamous 23 SEACRAFT, and his 1st variable deadrise hull design.

This is a good read. If kids did stuff like this we might have a chance.

Bgreene, you should watch Boat Angel. Seems like every few weeks someone puts up an old Sea Craft Seafari for a no reserve auction. Most are up north.

Yup, and maybe " some day" a Seacraft 23' Sceptre or 25' Safari ......

For now, the V21 continues to serve well, and it's such a pretty boat too !

Reason I like the 21 Mosely based on build / design to run ocean waves:
A. without pounding
B. for hours on end without breaking up
I've read that other bigger boats left behind the Mosely, as that hull design eats up 2'-4' chop by cutting and landing with a " whoosh" not a bamb !!!

Here off NJ, there are times when that type of rig would be useful - to handle distances with less care.
