what brand of motor? Sounds like a relay clicking, so it may be the wiring to the pump, or the pump, you should be able to follow the wires from the trim motor to the relay. See if you can disconnect them & try the motor directly, if it works, it's in the relay or switch, if not, the motor or wiring is bad.
