Have waited out a few thunderstorms in the cuddy.

It helps if the other person on board is of the opposite sex.

We never spent the night on our V 20.

We use to overnight on our 21' Parker.
However that was a few years back.

We have had thoughts of overnighting on our 23' Wellcraft but haven't spent the night on the 23 footer yet.

We are either spoiled by the Bertram or just getting older.

If you mean "Did you start fishing at sunset and wait out a second tide and keep fishing until sunrise?", then yes I have overnighted more times than I should have...

when my son was little, we would go to a local barrier island and spend the night. tried to sleep on the boat, but ended up in a lawn chair on the beach

I think I may try it this season. It seems pretty cozy down there. It can't be much different than a tent and its on the water and free

If you had a full canvas enclosure on a V 20 you could sleep on the cockpit floor and leave the cuddy for the pottie. Thinking the pottie would be pretty good idea on an overnighter.

Probably a lot of fun sleeping on shore in a tent and it would give you more space.
We spent a weeks vacation in Dunedin FL and saw many people sleep in tents on the spoils off the west coast of FL. It look like they were having a lot of fun.

I've done it a couple of times. If I camp I'm watching the boat all night anyways so I slept in the cuddy with my feet sticking out, I'm 6'1". I use an old square cushion against the threshold.

Lost my cushions in Katrina so I bought a tent. :-)

Gave my cushions away to someone here on this site. They cluttered up my garage. My cuddy is full of tackle buckets, rain gear, net, rods, and an ever present plastic tub of hard pretzels.

Only time I slept in there was once I was laying in there re-wiring my dash and took a nap.

Wife & daughter go out on Pop-Pop's boat....carpeting and cushions....la di da....
