You're on the right track my brother. You've come to realize that stopping smoking is not only about you, but also how your ill health would effect the ones you love the most. Ditch the e-cigs, they're just a crutch, and you'll never learn to walk fully if you keep using crutches. I was a 2 pack a day smoker for 42 years. I can tell you from experience that really, the only way to quit is how you started out. You just stop. No pills, no patches, no Hypnotist, no e-cigs..... nothing. And when you get the urge you just say to yourself something like "We're not doing that anymore". The urge itself goes away almost instantly when you reinforce your resolve with a verbal commitment like that. You can do it bro. As to the need to have the supermarket set up a conveyor belt right to your house.... ya, like all of us you're substituting one oral habit for another. And since you'r not putting Nicotine into your system, your metabolism is going to slow down also, which means you're going to put on weight. If you're like most people you'll "balance" out about 20-30 lbs heavier then when you were smoking. It's a small price to pay. And I look forward to meeting you...... sometime next summer... lol

If God didn't have a purpose for us we wouldn't be here, so Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly. (Leave the rest to God) Silence, in the face of evil, is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak, not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless. |
